Hannah McNulty

Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am an occupational therapist and sensory integration practitioner. I have many years of experience in the field of mental health (adults and children) and have supported autistic people in numerous settings to increase their functioning in everyday occupations.

My special area of interest is complex trauma and I believe that neurodivergence creates an increased likelihood of exposure to adverse experiences. Being over responsive to sensory input and dealing with other people's repeated negative responses to communication differences can cause anxiety and trauma over time.

As an associate at the divergent space I am able to offer 1:1 specialist occupational therapy and also sensory regulation assessments. A focus on your occupational functioning (self care, work based and leisure) can help you to understand what might be holding you back and what existing strengths and support you can utilise to achieve your goals.

A detailed exploration of sensory processing differences that results in a sensory processing report can help you make sense of challenges you may be having. It can also be a helpful tool to communicate to your workplace or family and friends the different management strategies that might help you.
