Screening
We offer screenings and assessments to individuals from age 17+.
Prior to having a full assessment, we conduct a thorough screening appointment. This takes 90 minutes face to face or online and we send a sensory profile questionnaire to be completed prior to the appointment along with a breakdown of the questions we will go through during the 90 minutes (to help people prepare in advance if they wish).
The screening will look at both Autism and ADHD experiences. You are welcome to bring someone with you for support if you wish. We offer breaks as needed during the appointment and are happy to receive information in advance to be read by the clinician if that feels easier than speaking in depth on the day.
It’s not possible to give a diagnosis at the end of screening, the purpose is to see whether it is worth pursuing a full diagnostic assessment or not and what type of assessment would best meet your needs. At the end we write a summary letter which can be used to aid an NHS referral via the GP - or to any other appropriate provider.
There is no obligation to see us for a full assessment following the screening.
